History

I am filled with gratitude to be alive at such a time as this. I am honored to experience this time in history of having our 1st black president of the United States. I truly believe he is the right man for this position, not just because he is black. Barack Obama is Intelligent, Confident and Calm under Pressure. He gives me a strong sense of Hope.

Thanks and Congratulations to everyone that voted for Barack Obama!

  2. Never underestimate the power of prayer. I think of all the prayers that must have been prayed, not only by those considered minorities but those who really wanted to see January 20, 2009 come to pass. I even think of the people who wanted to stand up to Jim Crow laws and bigotry but were afraid. All one has to do is step back and you can clearly see God’s hand in what has taken place.
Rev. Martin Luther King was Moses in retrospect. Moses didn’t get to the promised land but God did allow him to view him it from the top of a mountain (Deut 34 :1-4). It’s truly awesome if you think about it in a spiritual way….President Obama in many regards is Joshua. It was Joshua who led the children of Israel to the Promised Land…but remember Ricky…………it was only after all the ones who complained, and mumbled died off (makes you think about the generation and time we’re living in now right?)
Some of the people who grew up choose to be like Pharaoh with a hardened heart, full of hate, bitterness, anger, judgment, etc. they won’t get to the Promised Land……….they have to die off ( spiritually they’re dead only God can revive them)

For the rest of us who seemed to want change we have to stand up now. I’m ecstatic that now people who were once considered “minorities “can see tangible proof that there no excuses to keep them from reaching their destiny! Now that he’s sworn in, I hope we all do our part because as awesome as it all is, the reality is he is only one man, a human man!
    Be Blessed Ricky
